Prohibited Items and Restricted Activity
Users may not request, list, offer, message about, ship, meet for, or sell prohibited items or services. This list is not exhaustive. Items must also comply with laws, carrier rules, Stripe requirements, and platform rules.
Stripe alignment: Shipped payments rely on Stripe. Stripe reviews businesses during account activation and its prohibited/restricted categories are representative, not exhaustive. Illegal products or services are not eligible for Stripe processing.
No firearms, ammunition, explosives, weapon components, illegal knives, or products intended to enable violence.
No illegal drugs, controlled substances, drug paraphernalia, prescription products, regulated medical products, unsafe supplements, or unapproved therapeutic claims.
No toxic, explosive, flammable, radioactive, corrosive, biohazardous, or restricted chemicals, pesticides, batteries, or materials that cannot be legally shipped or handled.
No recalled products, expired products, unsafe baby products, defective safety equipment, or items that create a known health or safety risk.
No pornography, sexual services, sexually explicit content, adult services, or items restricted to adult businesses.
No live animals, illegal wildlife products, endangered species products, or animal parts restricted by law.
No securities, loans, debt relief, credit repair, money transmission, cryptocurrency, financial accounts, insurance products, or similar regulated services.
No restricted event tickets, scalped tickets where prohibited, passes, credentials, or access products that violate terms, laws, or platform rules.
No IDs, passports, Social Security numbers, passwords, account credentials, personal data, or documents used for identity fraud.
No products or activity promoting hate, violence, discrimination, exploitation, self-harm, harassment, or abuse.
No fake tracking, fake labels, fake reviews, payment fraud, chargeback abuse, phishing, spam, scams, or attempts to bypass marketplace protections.
What happens if prohibited items are posted?
Reverse Marketplace may remove the request or listing, void offers, notify related users, restrict account features, issue strikes, ban accounts, preserve records, or report activity when needed for safety, compliance, or legal reasons.
